SAKI Welcome Packet

The National Sexual Assault Kit Initiative Training and Technical Assistance (SAKI TTA) team provides a range of training and technical assistance to SAKI sites regarding investigating and prosecuting cases, inventorying and tracking sexual assault kits (SAKs), and engaging victim advocates. FY2022 SAKI Welcome Packet
This version of the SAKI Welcome Packet is intended for SAKI grantees with FY2022 funding. The Welcome Packet is broken down into resources that apply to all SAKI grantees as well as materials targeted specifically to recipients of various Purpose Areas. BJA program requirements, SAKI TTA Team information, and helpful resources all make up this introductory-level resource to new and existing SAKI grantees.

SAKI Purpose Area 6: National Cold Case Initiative (NCCI) Initial Inventory Certification Form
This form will be used by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the National Sexual Assault Kit Initiative Training and Technical Assistance (SAKI TTA) team to certify an initial inventory of the violent cold case crimes your jurisdiction plans to address under SAKI Purpose Area (PA) 6: NCCI. Approval of the initial inventory certification form is required before any programmatic activity takes place.

Sexual Assault Kit Inventory Clearance Letter
This form is to be completed by SAKI grantees that have previously completed an inventory of sexual assault kits (SAKs). The information provided will be used by the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA) and the National Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) team to ensure your jurisdiction used a comprehensive approach to eliminating the volume of unsubmitted SAKs, which includes partially tested SAKs.
